How to apply

Getting an RA position involves three key steps:

1. Finding RAship openings
2. Submitting applications
3. Evaluating offers

In this section, we discuss tips for each of these steps. Remember as you go through this process that there is absolutely no shame in not getting an RA offer, even if you apply to many. RA positions are competitive, and the application review process is inherently subjective. You can be a perfectly happy and successful economist without ever having worked as an RA.
